Training Course Overview
During this 2 day course, you will learn how to use SSIS 2005, 2008 and 2012 in your enterprise to solve common extract, transform and load (ETL) challenges. This class assumes you know the basics of SSIS and takes you from the novice level to a more effective, advanced ETL developer. Much of this class focuses on implementing common real-world SSIS patterns taught from the experts of SSIS. You'll also learn how to performance tune SSIS. Be prepared for a very in-depth day of SSIS that gets advanced in many areas.
Training Course Prerequisites
Beginners Knowledge of SSIS
Hardware and Software requirements:
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Windows 7 or Windows 8
- Server 2003/2008, Microsoft Vista operating system
- 1 GHz or faster CPU
- 1 GB of available RAM (recommended 2 GB)
- 20 GB of free hard drive space
- SQL Server Developer Edition, Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition with the client tools, SSIS and SSRS.
- AdventureWorks2008 or AdventureWorks2012 and AdventureWorksDW2008 or AdventureWorksDW2012 databases installed on the instance found at www.codeplex.com
- Download the class files (email will be sent to you with this link).
- This file contains the labs for the class that can be worked on post class.
- For 2005 users the SSIS.zip file should be unzipped to C:\SSIS.
- For 2008 and 2012 users the SSIS2008Class.zip file should be unzipped to C:\SSIS2008Class
