The Package Deployment Wizard in BI xPress gives users more options when deploying SSIS packages. Users can deploy multiple packages at once without having to deploy an entire project. A special ‘2 way deployment’ feature allows for copying packages from a target location to a source.
The deployment wizard offers many options developers and DBA’s can use to customize their package deployment.
This will allow users to select their overwrite options. The options are to ‘Always Overwrite’, ‘Never Overwrite’, or ‘Prompt if Exists’.
If you want to change the location of your checkpoint file, the new path can be entered here.
This is useful when deploying multiple packages to a file system. BI xPress will copy folders and subfolders to the target location.
Automatically compile all scripts instead of compiling them manually one at a time in BIDS.
When this option is selected, BI xPress will copy all configuration files to the target during deployment.
Allows the user to copy the configuration files to a different location and point the package to that directory during deployment.
Source and Target Selection
Clicking next will bring you to the Source and Target Selection screen. Here, users can choose what they are deploying and where they are deploying.

2-Way Deployment
The deployment wizard features a 2 Way Deployment option. This will enable the deployment of packages from the target to be deployed to the source.
