Must Know Beginner Functions in Power Apps

Written by Brian Knight | Jan 31, 2020

Just starting out developing with Power Apps? One of the most common things I’m asked for while I’m doing training sessions is a cheat sheet of the top functions you should know as a beginner developer.

In this video I’ll show you how to get started and which core functions you should know. My demo will walk you through these core functions by building a simple app in Power Apps. You'll learn about:

  • Power Apps Lookup, Search and Filter functions for data filtering
  • SubmitForm and Remove to alter data
  • The user function to capture user information
  • Set command for global variable
  • And a few more!

I’ll take a beginner’s perspective to help build a foundation and you’ll come away with a knowledge of the most important functions that you should commit to memory when starting with Power Apps.
