BI xPress SSIS Monitoring Console

The SSIS Monitoring Console will display data that is recorded by the auditing framework. There are numerous reports that will display a variety of data, from real time monitoring to execution trend data.

SSIS Monitoring Console

SSIS Monitoring Console - Step 1

In BIDS, click on the BI xPress drop down and select the SSIS Monitoring Console.

SSIS Monitoring Console - Step 2

There are two sets of reports; the real time monitoring reports and a list of static reports. Click ‘Launch Monitoring Console’ to monitor package execution.

SSIS Monitoring Console - Step 3

This will show a list of packages that were recently executed and any packages that are currently executing.

SSIS Monitoring Console - Step 4

This report will display the package as if it is being viewed in BIDS. Click the data flow button to view the data flows in the package.

SSIS Monitoring Console - Step 5

Click the Dashboards tab in the upper left corner of the screen to view all the other reports. Select the Recent Executions Detail report.

SSIS Monitoring Console - Step 6

Adjust the start and end date parameters (if necessary) and click preview.

SSIS Monitoring Console - Step 7

This report will display packages that have recently executed. It will show package connections, variables, and a list of errors and warnings.

SSIS Monitoring Console - Step 8

The Extract/Load Trend report will display information about the amount of rows that packages have been extracting and loading.

It breaks the packages down to sources and destinations and allows users to compare the amount of rows extracted and loaded.
