Module 01 - Class Setup Introduction
In this opening module, you’ll get an overview of what the RTIIAD setup course will cover and why each step is important for the main event. Manuel Quintana will walk through the objectives, required accounts, and resources you’ll need in place before beginning your real-time analytics journey. This session sets the expectations for the configuration process and ensures you’re prepared to follow along with the upcoming technical modules.
Module 02 - Provisioning Azure Event Hubs
Learn how to provision Azure Event Hubs, a key service for ingesting and managing streaming data in real time. Manuel will explain the role Event Hubs plays in the Real-Time Intelligence architecture and guide you through creating an Event Hub namespace, configuring access policies, and ensuring security best practices. By the end, you’ll have a fully provisioned Event Hub ready to receive data for analysis in Fabric.
Module 03 - Getting Your Fabric Capacity
This module focuses on setting up the necessary Fabric capacity so your workspace can handle real-time analytics workloads. You’ll learn about different capacity options, how to provision them through the Microsoft 365 admin portal, and how capacity impacts performance and scalability. Manuel will also share tips for monitoring and optimizing your capacity allocation for long-term efficiency.
Module 04 - Setting Up a Workspace and Configuring Notebooks
Finish your setup by creating a dedicated Fabric workspace and configuring a notebook for real-time data ingestion and processing. Manuel will walk through workspace creation, permissions management, and notebook initialization. You’ll see how to connect the notebook to your Event Hub and verify that data is flowing as expected—ensuring you’re ready for hands-on analysis during the main RTIIAD event.
