Meet the Newest Member of Our Training Team

We’d like to introduce you to the newest member of our training team, Erin Ostrowsky. Erin was recruited from a Pragmatic Works' Foundation class and she’ll be developing content for our training courses. Here’s her story:

My path with Pragmatic Works began with a SQL course that I was very impressed with. I then learned about the Pragmatic Works’ Foundation course which is a free week-long training for people who are unemployed, underemployed or are seeking a career change. Based on my prior experience with the SQL course, I knew that it would be outstanding.

I consider myself an enthusiastic life-long learner. I love learning new languages and currently speak French and conversational Haitian Creole and am learning Spanish. During the Foundation week, I was enthralled by the materials and was passionately engaged in learning and this world of technology created a new spark in me.

My career background includes journalism, business research and owning my own business as a freelance writer/editor and professional organizer. But there was something deeply compelling about working with big data and business intelligence with cutting edge tools.

I was excited when Brian and Devin Knight approached me about joining the team as a trainer. I really enjoy listening to people, learning about their needs and aspirations, strategizing effectively and then helping people achieve their goals through technology. My background as a business journalist and researcher provides a strong and broad foundation for working with decision makers and thought leaders across diverse industries. 

At Pragmatic Works, I focus on original technical writing, video recordings and delivering live-trainings, predominantly around Microsoft’s Power Platform technologies. Jumping into technology is a dream come true and I can’t imagine a better opportunity than with Pragmatic Works.
