Subject: Power BI Bootcamp Opportunity
To my most favorite boss,
I found a virtual Power BI Bootcamp from Pragmatic Works starting on January 13, and I think it could be really valuable for our team.
The bootcamp is around $2000 and covers the essentials of Power BI, from data modeling to advanced reporting techniques. It includes practical tools and templates that we can use to improve our reports and analytics.
The instructors are experts in Power BI, so I know I’ll gain skills that’ll benefit our projects.

Would it be possible to expense this?
Sincerely,
Your most favorite employee
P.S. Should we consider this for the whole team? There might be group discounts!
3. Follow Up After A Few Days
Is your manager swamped? Use this follow-up message if you haven’t received a response.
To: “Boss” <boss@company.com>
Subject: RE: Power BI course expense
Dear favorite boss,
Have you had time to look at the Power BI course I sent you? I really believe it would enhance our ability to make data-driven decisions effectively.

Frequent boss questions and their responses
Managers often inquire about how this course relates to your role and objectives.Below are some response options you can use as a foundation. Feel free to adjust them as needed.
Our on-demand platform has hundreds of self-paced courses, so I can complete it over time. I should be able to finish the course in a few weeks if I tackle one module a day with 30 minutes.
For bootcamps, the total time commitment is 4 days, including lab times to make it real.
After taking the Power BI track of courses, I'll be able to build more state-of-the-art dashboards using best practices around governance and design. I'll also understand DAX better, to build some of the complex logic that the team is asking for.
You do not sign up with a credit card so your trial access will expire.
Sure, you can see a list of all the courses here: or a list of all outlines here: https://pragmaticworks.com/courses.
The Power Platform class will show us how to build the right type of app for our internal customers and how to engineer better workflows.
