When installing the latest CTP (November) of SQL Server 2008, you'll notice quite a few new ease of use enhancements. During the installation, Microsoft has exposed many more optional screens that you have to configure SQL Server even prior to installation. For example, you can specifically set the directories for SQL Server at a very granular level. You've always been able to do this but now you can also set the directory for databases like the TempDB, which most DBAs want to move after installation. It's always the simple things that make a difference!
