Day 1: Discovery and Design
Review existing database environment and establish goals with BI stakeholders.
Deliver conceptual database diagram for data warehouse. (See below for “Fast
Track” edition activities.)
Day 2: Data Model & ETL
Deliver data model and physical database for fact tables and related
dimensions. Implement an SSIS framework to load the data mart. (See below for

Day 3: Cubing
Demonstrate cube technology with SSAS on
top of the data warehouse and KPI functionality.
Day 4: Presentation Layer
Build a sample SSRS report(s)
using the cube and data warehouse. Connect Share Point BI Dashboard with KPI’s
to Cube and fact tables. Excel power pivot for ad hoc analysis.
Day 5: Review
Review findings and best practices with
stakeholders. Transition knowledge to staff members. Deliver roadmap and high
