Want to take your Power Apps user interfaces to the next level? In this video, I’ll share some great UI tips to do just that. As everyone has their own taste, you may like some of my UI designs, but not others. My goal here is to give you some thoughts to make your applications pop.
In my demo, I’ll start with a basic app and I’ll share some ideas as simple as creating a color scheme. If you’re not tied down by company branding colors and have more flexibility, a great free website to try is called ColourLovers where you can browse pre-designed palettes. You can use these palettes for headers, side bars and accent colors on an app, creating a nice, mature-looking effect. I’ll show you how to use ColourLovers in my demo.
Other tips I’ll demo in my app build are drop shadows to make zones within the app pop, how to use tabs to save real estate in your app and using variables to store your colors. There are many more things you can do with design in Power Apps, but sometimes it can be hard to know where to begin so I hope these basic tips give you some areas to start.
If you’d like some tips on using some UI designs that will bring your apps to the next level, watch my complete video below.
