Power BI Monthly Digest (September 2021)

Welcome to the latest Power BI Monthly Digest, where Pragmatic Works trainer Jonathon Silva looks at the latest additions to the ever-evolving Power BI platform.
In the September 2021, edition, there are a couple of features that Jonathon wants to highlight for you. First, Jonathon discusses the new formatting controls for Buttons, which now have the same customization options as shapes, helping you to create more flexibly designed, structured, and stylized report pages. Jonathon then details the new option to toggle off the total column on Waterfall Charts, for those that wish to simply view the subtotal columns without the final column in the visual.
Furthermore, Jonathon showcases the new option to create and format series labels in Line Charts, using the Series Labels option. This new feature allows users to supplement the legend and further clarify which lines are associated with each category.
Also discussed is the new 64-bit version of the Power BI Report Builder and where to download it, as well as the Insights Feature that was added to the Power BI Service, helping users easily find and explore insights like anomalies, trends, and KPIs in their data.
