What is SSRS? It almost sounds like a song from the Beatles but it’s not. If you are new to reporting, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) can look complicated. You will find in this video that it’s actually one of the easiest pieces of the BI stack to learn. SSRS 2012 has made some substantial improvements which are covered in this webinar.
Chris Albrektson will walk you through some of the new and changed features in SSRS 2012. You will learn how it is now used in SSDT (SQL Server Data Tools) 2012 instead of BIDS (Business Intelligence Development Studios), SharePoint Central Administration, and exportation to Microsoft Office 2010. You can also now deploy to SharePoint with data alerts and Power view is now developed outside of SDDT. But why is this so helpful? Chris explains how you could save time by receiving the reports you need instead of reports you don’t by using the new feature of data alerts with SharePoint Integrated Mode. Best of all, you will learn how to receive those reports in the new format of XLSX and DOCX. I say that is a win-win!
Chris will demonstrate each of the new features of SSRS 2012. He shows you reports in Power View and how it can save you time, Data Alerts with SharePoint Integration, and the various rendering formats. He even goes in to the Lifecycle of a report, such as Authoring, Management and Delivery.
This webinar is definitely not about a song, but it will leave you singing a happy tune. All these trendy new things that SSRS 2012 can do to make your life easier! You can view this webinar at https://pragmaticworks.wistia.com/medias/jruxyau1x4.
As a reminder, on our website you will find a comprehensive list of our future webinars (http://pragmaticworks.com/Training/FreeTraining/FutureWebinars). Don’t forget to come for the pre webinar trivia, I may have all the questions but I sure don’t have all the answers (unless I turn the page and look at them). I look forward to seeing you at the next webinar.
